Spring is on her way!
I can't wait to see the flowers in bloom again.
It's been a long winter, but I'm grateful for it.
Without winter, I wouldn't appreciate the other seasons as much.

Day 158

Olivia has a very creative imagination.
This is her playing on her "Spaceship."
She told me I was going to be the co-pilot and
that we were going to find robots on the moon.
It was a fun ride.

This picture just screams love to me.
Isn't it precious? There is nothing like a grandfather's love.

Contentment.
I need to learn to be happy with the small pleasures in life.
To be content with the things I've been blessed with... for I have truly been blessed.

I'm grateful for the opportunity we took to go visit Aunt Mecy and Uncle George yesterday.
We continue to pray for her comfort and a peace to be in
their hearts as they deal with their new trial.

Day 152

This is my wonderful Mom. Today is her birthday. This lady has taught me so much in life. She's taught me kindness, compassion, love, selflessness, to be a peace maker, to accept others, how to play the piano, to cook, she TRIED to teach me to sew, and she taught me what a wonderful and truly loving mom should be like by her example. I'm striving to be like her each day. I'm grateful for all that she has taught me and will continue to teach me throughout my life. I love you Mom! Happy Birthday!

Day 151

I love this child. I love sense of humor, her smile, her personality, her quirks, her stubborn streak, her creativity and her love for others. She is going to go places in life and it's my honor to be her mother and to help guide her to her destiny. I love her.

This is my Dad. He is one of the most incredible men I know. He has such a giving and loving spirit. He's quick to laugh and quick to love others. He's taught me so many good things in life. I'm grateful for him in my life. Love You Dad!

Day 149

We are expected to wear many different hats throughout life. Whether it's the hat of service, motherhood, sister, daughter, father, bread-winner, Bishop, Relief Society president or Nursery leader, we can learn from each hat that we wear. We are given different opportunities in life at different times in our lives so that we can make the most of that moment. I'm grateful for the different opportunities I've had in life and I'm looking forward to having more in the future.

Day 148

This man is one of my heros. I have watched him in the past 7 years overcome trials that would leave many a person broken and discouraged. There have been ups and downs in the trials, but overall, he has progressively been moving upward. He is a truly remarkable person who just keeps getting better. I'm grateful for the values he has taught me by his example. I'm grateful for the person he is and the person he is becoming each day.
I'm truly grateful he is mine.
I love you Brad.

Day 147

I love wild flowers. I love that such beauty can grow in random and completely unorganized places without much care from an expert gardner. It reminds me that there is a lot of beauty and good in people that we might not expect to find it in otherwise. Even those people who have forgotten or who have never known the expert gardner in all our lives. The Savior can and will make more out of our lives than we can on our own.

Today is my little Sunshine's Birthday! I'm grateful that for the past year, this little doll has blessed our home with her laughter, her smiles, her love and her sweet spirit.
She is truly one of my greatest blessings in life.
Happy Birthday Mater!

Day 141

© 2009 Carrie Morris

Don't let life pass you by. I like to think we are allowed moments to sit down and rest, but they are only rests. Not lifetime long naps. There is a lot of beauty to behold in those moments of rest, but there can be more beauty made in our being busy and doing the Lord's work.

Day 140

Dreams.
Aspire to meet and fulfill all your dreams.
We wouldn't be going anywhere without our dreams of what
we want to be and what we want to do in life.

Day 139

© 2009 Carrie Morris

There is just something about this fence line that says, "Welcome Home." It makes me want to go "over the river and through the woods" to visit family. I'm grateful for good memories of home and of growing up that make it that much easier to want to go home to visit.

Day 138

© 2010 Carrie Morris

I'm grateful to have a husband who will scrape the frost off my windows for me. He will often take the scraper out of my hand and tell me to get in the warm car. I am grateful for the many ways he serves me.

Day 137

© 2009 Carrie Morris

Be brave enough to stand out from the crowd. Don't be a "wall flower." We were all created differently and uniquely. Embrace that uniqueness and let the world see your individual beauty.

Day 136

© 2009 Carrie Morris

Life is full of choices. Each choice has a consequence. Sometimes those consequences are obvious and other times they aren't. Sometimes we're choosing between two good options and both consequences are rewarding. Sometimes the end results are painful and trying. But, all consequences can help us grow and become better people if we let them and if we pray for that opportunity.

Day 134

© 2010 Carrie Morris

I'm grateful for the "somewhat better" weather we've had this week which has allowed us to go outside and enjoy a walk or two, and has allowed Olivia a chance to go "fishing" in the snowbank out front. She reported that "all the fishies are sleeping mom, I didn't catch one." But she sure did enjoy our time being outside.

Day 133

"I believe with all my heart that Standing up for America means standing up for the God who has so blessed our land. We need God's help to guide our nation through stormy seas. But we can't expect Him to protect America in a crisis if we just leave Him over on the shelf in our day-to-day living." ~Ronald Reagan, 40th US President
