Day 252

© 2010 Carrie Morris

I'm so grateful to live in a country that honors it's veterans.
I'm grateful for my many freedoms and liberties that
those veterans have fought and sacrificed for in the past
and that are still fighting today. I pray that I never take
the freedoms I enjoy for granted. Thank You to the
many men and women, past and present, who have
secured my freedoms for me.

Of course we don't call it memorial day in NZ but this is one of the most celebrated holidays in NZ.
We have parades, and fanfair and it's a huge deal back home.
We'd always go in the mornings for the ceremony and then down town for the parade etc.
Good times.
We call it ANZAC Day.
