I'm so grateful she is feeling better.
We're definitely over the worst of the illness.

Day 189

Brad returned back to work today after being
off for three weeks due to his neck injury.
I'm so grateful the treatments are working
and that his neck is improving.
I'm grateful to have him in my life.

Day 188

© 2010 Carrie Morris

This amazing and beautiful lady just returned from a mission to Italy.
She made such an impression on my 3 year old daughter that
Olivia is already asking me, "Mom, when can I go on a mission?"
Thank you Kayla for your amazing spirit and example.
Welcome Home.

I love her smile.
I love her laugh.
I love when she's happy.
I love her.

This is one of the cutest things I've seen.
Just looking at the picture makes me smile.

Day 184

© 2010 Carrie Morris

I'm grateful to all members of the military.
Those that are active or retired.
They do something for me that I'm not able to do for myself.
Their service guarantees my freedom.
Their service should never be taken for granted or be unappreciated.

Day 183

I love baking.
When I bake I feel productive.
Taking a bunch of different ingredients and combining them to make something so delicious is simply amazing. I believe it is a science and an art. Practice definitely makes perfect.

Day 182

One of my friends brought me this Coke.
It was truly appreciated and enjoyed.
Sometimes little things like this can make us feel loved and remembered.
That is a true gift... to be remembered by a friend.

Day 181

© 2010 Carrie Morris

I love History.
I love looking at old things and wondering what "memories"
they have accumulated and helped create.
Who used to drive this old truck? Was it used for work? For fun? What views has this old truck seen? Where has it been? There are so many lessons we can learn from history. I need to remember to write down my history more and to study the history of my ancestors so it's not forgotten forever.

Day 180

I love a good road trip. It's a great time to get away,
to take a break, to rest and relax.
We love taking this road to our cousin's house in Delta. We always have a great time there and we love spending time with family.

Day 179

I love music.
I'm so grateful to my mom for teaching me how to play the piano.
I miss playing and look forward to the day I own a piano.
I love the peace that can fill my heart when beautiful music is playing.

Day 178

Poor Brad. With two herniated discs in his neck, this is the most comfortable position he can find lately. It's been a humbling and growing experience. We have both gained a greater appreciation for good health and for having bodies that work right. We are excited to get his body working right again.

Day 177

© 2010 Carrie Morris

We started a new family tradition today.
Although it's hard to see, those are GREEN pancakes.
(with a Mickey Mouse shaped one for Olivia)
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
It's fun to start new traditions with my family and
to have something to look forward to at each holiday.

Day 176

We had the opportunity today to go with some friends to the Children's museum.
It was a great time to get out and to have a change of scenery.
Tagen and Olivia loved every minute of it.
I'm grateful for friends who include us in their plans and who take such great care of us.

Day 175

Pure joy was found today at the park.
Olivia's wish came true.
Spring is making it's appearance.
We are oh so grateful!

Day 174

We are VERY excited for Spring.
Olivia can't wait to be able to play outside more often.

Day 173

© 2010 Carrie Morris

This was Tagen's favorite spot today.
Sitting in her high chair which was parked in front of our window.
She longs to go outside and play. I'm grateful this view and her
duck kept her satisfied for the day.

Day 172

© 2009 Carrie Morris

I'm so grateful for family.
We have so much fun when we get together.
There's nothing quite like "bonding" over a game of spoons.
I think we should get together more often...

Heavenly Father is a magnificent artist, isn't He?
Beautiful and amazing!

Day 170

"When upon life's billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise what the Lord has done."

This picture reminds me of life's billows and being tempest tossed.
Life can get rough and trying at times, but as the song says,
Count your blessings... it WILL surprise you!

Day 169

© 2009 Carrie Morris

There are times I have felt like life is spiraling out of control.
Or at least out of MY control.
Just when I think thinks have taken such a turn that I'll never get it back where I wanted it, I'm reminded that there is a grander plan, one greater than my own, that my life is following. I stand back and see where He has blessed me and I can unwind and enjoy the ride.

Day 168

© 2010 Carrie Morris

I'm SO grateful this view and others like it are becoming scarce.
(I did like that this hydrant looks sort
of like it's wearing a Santa hat however.)
I'm so ready for SPRING!!

Day 167

© 2010 Carrie Morris

I love the "brotherly love" in this picture.
While doing this photo shoot, I asked the oldest to "put his arm around his little brother's neck." He immediately put him in a choke hold and started rubbing his head with his knuckles. The littlest guy got in on the action too. They made me laugh. It reminded me of growing up with four of my own brothers.

Day 166

© 2010 Carrie Morris

I'm grateful for modern medicine.
I'm grateful that when my husband is injured
we have the ability to ease some of his pain and woes.

Day 165

© 2010 Carrie Morris

I'm grateful for bananas. They have become a favorite of my one year old, and have healing nutrients for my injured husband. They have been lifesavers this week.

Day 164

© 2010 Carrie Morris

I absolutely LOVE watching Tagen learn.
It's amazing to be able to watch her
figure out how and why things work.
She has such an excitement for life, it's contagious.

Day 163

© 2010 Carrie Morris

How can I not be grateful for this little one?
She's full of personality... and I love it.

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Day 162

© 2010 Carrie Morris

I'm grateful for a yummy bowl of soup on
a day when my whole family is sick.
I'm grateful for friends who think of me and my family and bring
a "care package" when it was really needed.

Day 161

© 2010 Carrie Morris

I'm grateful for sunshine and melting snow.
The opportunity to take a walk outside
and to soak up some Vitamin D.
It's very much in need for those of us suffering from cabin fever!
